Some loads need more than lifting, they need controlled rotation. Rotator attachments increase the versatility of a standard forklift, telehandler or tractor to rotate, tip and position loads without the need for additional dedicated equipment. Designed for heavy-duty applications, they provide controlled rotation of bins, containers and other heavy or awkward loads, helping improve load control, handling precision and operational efficiency.
East West Engineering supplies a range of hydraulic rotators for demanding industrial applications. Our team has the technical expertise to help match the right attachment to your machinery and operating requirements.
Rotator attachments are designed for applications where loads need to be emptied, rotated or repositioned during handling. They’re commonly used across warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, construction and bulk material handling, particularly where bins, stillages, containers and other loads are regularly tipped or emptied.
Choosing the right rotator attachment is important for both safety and productivity. The rotator should be compatible with the machine, suitable for the intended load and used within its rated capacity. Relevant Australian Standards and workplace safety requirements should also be considered.
The right rotation angle depends on how the load will be handled.
A 180° rotator is a value option for simple tipping operations. A 360° forklift rotator provides continuous rotation in both directions, with the ability to stop and hold the load at any point during the rotation cycle. This makes it ideal for applications requiring flexibility when positioning or orienting loads.
Some models also include sideshifting functionality, allowing operators to adjust the load laterally without repositioning the forklift. This can improve placement accuracy, particularly in confined spaces.
East West Engineering’s range includes the XZQ 360° Rotator, XZQ F Sideshifting 360° Rotator, XZQ-H 360° Rotator w Bin Hold Down Clamp, XR3 180° Rotator and XR3 (BHD) 180° Rotator with Bin Support Arm.
Before recommending a fork rotator attachment, East West Engineering can help review your forklift specifications, carriage class, hydraulic capacity and operating environment to ensure the attachment is suitable for the application. Many models can also be fitted to telehandlers and tractors where appropriate. Forklift attachments are supplied with an attachment dataplate, however you must get the truck manufacturer to rate the attachment to the forklift. They will supply a load chart plate to show the new load rating of the truck when used with the attachment. Attachments are supplied with product documentation, risk assessment, certification and data plates to support compliance with AS 2359 and relevant WHS requirements.

Our range includes 180° and 360° hydraulic rotators, sideshifting rotators and specialised models that offer clamping functionality to suit the load being handled and those fitted with adaptors to suit various machinery hitches including telehandlers, skid steers and tractors. This includes the XZQ 360° Rotator, XZQ-F Sideshifting 360° Rotator, XZQ-H 360° Rotator w Bin Hold Down Clamp, XR3 180° Rotator and XR3 (BHD) 180° Rotator with Bin Support Arm.
Hydraulic rotators are commonly used in manufacturing, construction, logistics, warehousing, mining and distribution where loads need to be tipped, emptied or accurately positioned.
Yes. Many East West Engineering attachments can be customised to suit your specific applications and operating environments. Rotators are available in a range of capacities and when paired up with a carriage adaptor or rotator adaptor, hitch plates can be fitted to suit your machinery. Our engineering team can assess your requirements and recommend or design a suitable solution.
Selection depends on load capacity, machine capacity, hydraulic requirements, load dimensions and the type of handling required. The application will also determine which rotator is most suitable, and whether additional features such as sideshifting or clamping functionality are required. Our team can help assess your machienry and application requirements to recommend a suitable rotator.
Yes. East West Engineering’s hydraulic rotators are designed to meet relevant Australian Standards and come with supporting product documentation, risk assessment and dataplates.
